We would not be surprised in the slightest if Microsoft finds that the update in question, coupled with other factors, is in fact to blame. Users in the thread have reported that uninstalling the update manually, or using System Restore to restore to a time before they installed the update, fixes the problem for them.

I have the exact same error and now I can't get it to start anymore, uninstall reinstall doesn't work. It is on Windows7 64 asInputDirector slave. It all happens after logging off and log back on, then this error.Could it be the recent MS update KB977074?Any other possibilities that could cause this error? I have beenrunning Inputdirector on this machine for almost half a year noproblem until now. Anyway to force it to start? Thanks.Tajino
When I run the Resource Monitor program on windows 7 the window opens but the window is either blank or transparent with the desktop showing through the window frame. (even though no transparency is used normally in the displaying).
The update item is claimed to be kb977074 -us Yet I do not see any update by that number in the installed updates on this computer. I assume some of the same "fixes" are installed via some other update.
The issue is that we are not getting any updates matching the Title=Windows IoT but windows 10 is available. Also these updates are not getitng past the basic ClientActivity=Active check and the device is also not downloading any update at its end. There is also no obvious use to test this by deploying any Windows 10 update to the IoT device.
We deployed Security updates through SCCM 2012 to the servers, unfortunately Windows Sever 2008 SP2 servers are falling under Compliance State in Reports. But When I log-in to the servers the the patches are not installed on them. There is no errors in SCCM Client logs. When I ran windows Updates, the same updates are listed as applicable what i deployed through SCCM. can Someone please help me on this.
I am having this issue only with software updates. Applications and Programs have no issues. I deployed Windows updates 2 weeks ago to a collection with daily 7 hour long maintenance windows. Today, half of the computers are showing as compliant, while half are still showing as In Progress - Downloaded Updates. 2ff7e9595c
