Updated June 29, 2022 by Erik Petrovich: Skyrim Anniversary Edition introduced a ton of new and returning official addons for the now decade-old RPG, including Skyrim survival mode camping and dozens and dozens more. For Survival Mode Skyrim changes a lot about the way players experience the world: temperature matters, for example, and fast travel is disabled to force players to explore the world on foot. Some of the mechanics of Skyrim Survival Mode are a bit enigmatic, but in each entry below tables lay out these new effects and systems with basic explanations of how they change the vanilla game. Skyrim survival mode is a really neat addition to the game, but it's a death sentence if you go in blind - especially on higher difficulties.

Survival Mode features a litany of changes to the game that fundamentally alter how a player experiences the world of Skyrim. There are new racial passives to consider, fast travel is disabled, and players have new status effects to maintain or suffer the consequences.

For example i was fast traveling then i notice my character would not move and was stuck in 3rd person could only jump and swing weapons use magic but could now walk or even turn.The only thing that seems to spin is the camera. Reloading the cache or fast traveling did not help or restarting the game or console,being killed or being sent to prison has not helped resolve the issue. Worse is it seems to affect all saves there is a rumour of faulty discs. So watch out it may happen to you aswell!!!
Completely de-equip everything, fast-traveling, and sleeping usually remove these arrows. If worst comes to worst, Lycanthropes can use their Beast Form to remove these unwanted blights upon your character's...err...beauty.
Sometimes when you fast-travel to a location in which you have killed a dragon, or when you fast-travel away from the location that you killed the dragon and haven't yet absorbed his soul, the skeleton will "follow" you after the load time and land on or near you.
Whatever approach the player takes, they are guaranteed to run into Skyrim's annoying follower NPCs, intriguing secrets, and thought-provoking, exhilarating quests. However, players may be inadvertently pushed into experiencing the game a certain way from the beginning, closing off valuable opportunities without even realizing it. For those who minimize the use of features like fast travel or treat the game in a more open-ended manner, the adventures held within Skyrim's vast world can be enriched.
The ability to fast travel is a key feature in open-world games, and Skyrim is no exception. Fast-traveling in Skyrim, as in Bethesda's modern Fallout games, is considerably more flexible than other open-world titles, which only allow the player to certain dedicated fast-travel spots. Rather than following this model, Skyrim allows players to effectively fast-travel to any location that they discover. The game marks just about every structure or landmark as a discovered location, which results in countless fast-travel footholds. Players can even bypass restrictions like Skyrim's over-encumbered fast travel rule, making it easier than ever to jump around the map.
Of course, fast travel is an invaluable tool in a game as sprawling as Skyrim, and players shouldn't feel pressured to totally excise it from their future playthroughs. However, players can limit themselves by only using major cities like Whiterun, Solitude, and Riften as fast travel "anchors" rather than using all of Skyrim's many unique locations as fast travel points. Through this method, players can retain some of the convenience of fast travel without reducing the game to a series of loading screens and perfunctory tasks, which is what can occur by using traditional, unrestricted fast travel.
Just like the fast travel trick, this adjustment can be made quite easily, as it just comes down to the decisions of the individual player. However, mods can assist those looking to approach Skyrim with this playstyle. There are countless "quick start" mods that let the player hop into a new game without the lengthy Helgen introduction that sets them on the path to becoming the legendary Dragonborn. Again, these mods are non-essential, but they can go a long way for anyone looking to start the game with a blank slate, without the baggage of the main quest.
Like other open world games, Skyrim gives you the ability to fast travel to locations you've visited on the map. But it's worth noting that you can fast travel as soon as the game begins, well before the game tells you that you can do so.
It is generally not possible to request (by smoke or by map selection) landings on the roofs of buildings, not even on designated helipads (notable exceptions are smoke landings on the helipads at Cambridge Police Station and Listening Post Bravo). However, in landing to drop off at the destination, the Vertibird will attempt to land as close as possible to the fast travel target, including if this is placed on a roof or similar surface, provided the surface is large enough and a clear glide path exists. If selecting the Land option prior to arrival at the destination, the Vertibird will land in the nearest suitable spot. This may occassionally be an elevated highway or other elevated surface.
If the crashes occur while fast-traveling, try fast traveling to a nearby point instead and then walking to the next destination. If your settlement, or the area you are traveling to, is especially dense, your system may not be able to handle rendering everything there at once.
It counteracts issues of drag as it gets faster by continually moving to higher altitudes. Presumably it has to go supersonic and then hypersonic at some point, but by then the air would be so thin it wouldn't matter.
